I heat them up because paint adheres to a part best if it's warm. Sanding was just me getting rid of high spots in between keeping the part warm. 🤙

Nope, Shielding gas basically doesn't work since I'm always in a breezy/windy climate. Plus dust likes to get in the cracks of what I'm welding and then makes them super porous.

@@Bennyboysspeedshop Yeah using innershield. It works really well. Been using it for 7 years straight with amazing fusion and penetration. The downside is cleanup
